Cénomanien.
Angle apical modérément à très aigu. Enroulement serré. Tours de section aplatie ou anguleuse. Côtes simples, parfois déprimées à mi-flanc ou portant de 2 à 4 tubercules bulliformes ou épineux. Dérive de Mariella dont il se distingue parfois assez difficilement.

Albien moyen à Cénomanien supérieur.
Ammonites hétéromorphes à enroulement hélicoïdal lâche ou serré, dextre ou senestre. L’hélice est régulière, mais les derniers tours peuvent marquer une certaine instabilité. L’angle apical est normalement aigu. L’ornementation est fortement costulée et/ou tuberculée, très rarement lisse.
